This is a 15 foot USB 3.0 cable with a standard USB 3.0 standard A connector on one end and a USB connector. 3.0 standard B with a different connector. Please note that USB 3.0 standard B plugs will NOT mate with USB B sockets that do not support the 3.0 standard. So you can't just use it to connect a 3.0 capable laptop to a non 3.0 capable printer that has a standard 2.0 version of the USB B connector. The USB 3.0 standard has changed to USB 3.1 Gen 1 renamed so you can see this cable is mentioned that way, right. There is also an even newer format called USB 3.1 Gen 2. This cable does not conform to this standard. Note that the cable between the two connectors is slightly thicker than a typical USB 2.0 cable. It's just as flexible but takes up a little more room if you leave it rolled up for storage.
