Amplifier doesn't work into 1 ohm. It loops (protection mode possible). The amp turns on, then the clip indicator lights up, then the amp immediately turns off and the process repeats endlessly. During this time no music will play or be played through the amplifier. The amp works and runs without problems at 2 ohms. But I bought this amp for its compact 1 ohm output. Something is also wrong with the profits. This amp supports up to a 6V preamp input. My main unit gives the amp a 4V preamp output, but I need to turn the gain up as much as possible to get a real output from the amp. With the gain at maximum and the main unit at almost full volume, the clip indicator never lights up. It's almost like the amp could use more gain. I've never had this behavior with a new box amp. Should be a quality control problem. It should be that easy to return, but like an idiot I installed it by adding a hole in the top center before testing it. Always check the equipment before installation! These amplifiers are designed for 1 and 2 ohms and are very compact. With proper quality control, these amps should work just fine.
