The remote control must be within 4 feet and pointed directly at the sensor for the light to receive the signal from the remote control. 7 feet when the light is off and you turn the light on - 27/4 color management doesn't work properly. I set custom settings for every 3 hour interval. After about 5 months I noticed that the lights came on at 6 o'clock intervals even though I had set the 6 o'clock interval to 100% dark. - This is very frustrating especially when you want your tank on 24/7 and need 16 hours of darkness as you only get 12 light settings with no issues. Coincidentally, Finnex does not have a support number and the warranty only lasts 6 months.
