My husband is a mess. Without going into graphic details, his old Poseidon oral irrigator was full of mold where the water tank entered the oral irrigator body. The mold could not be seen until the water tank was removed. I only saw him when he asked me to look at him because the irrigator stopped working. He thought I could fix it. However, when I slid off the water tank, there was a disgusting amount of mold in there. It's just gross. Actually it was broken and I just threw it away. Then I started looking for a new one. What I really like about this Okdesu is that the water tank is at the bottom of the irrigator. It can be easily removed from the water tank from above or from the side for cleaning and filling with water. The contact area is minimal and apart from this area there is no room for mold to grow. Well, for most people. It remains to be seen if he manages to get mold on it. It comes with great accessories including a charging case and cable, additional but DIFFERENT stylish ear tips and a drawstring pouch. The Poseidon studs are actually a perfect match for the Okdesu - the only slight difference is that the Okdesu studs are slightly longer. Longevity is of course unknown, and I don't like the fact that you can't get more hints from Okescu if needed. But for now, as long as it continues to work so well, it's a great addition to his oral care routine and he's loving it. If anything changes I will update my review.
