Well if you have seen any of my Fluval or Seachem product reviews you will no doubt come to the conclusion that I only use these 2 products and they buy bulk at the best price. Why? As they work flat and easy I've seen and even tried off-brands at great prices, while off-brands do their job well I've found that at least in my setups (several very large aquariums and sky-inhabited African cichlids) . and SA/CA, which are very, very big and messy fish), non-standard brands clog up a little faster. I'm a fanatic when it comes to maintaining my tanks. I use a total of 5 Fluval FX6 filters (2 in my African 135 and 3 in my 220 CA/SA, plus 3 Fluval FX4 filters in three other 30 to 90 gallon aquariums). The blue Fluval pads and water are crystal clear giving the illusion that my fish is floating in the air. These filter pads work in many other external filters without too much effort. Bottom Line: If you use Fluval FX Series pads, these pads are a must have and worth every penny!
