Review on SNUG Fasteners SNG214 Stainless Screws by Kevin Folsom

I'm in the process of replacing the roof (myself) and installing new 23/32 decking plywood. I had a couple of 1.5" wood screws to hold the deck in place, but the Phillips heads kept going overboard and the screws were only 90% complete, and they often caused the plywood to warp from the underlying structure. ! by 3 screws or so I had to take it off and try again. And they needed pilot holes. It lies on the roof at a 45 degree angle trying not to slide down. Pooh! Then I found these SNUGs... These screws, SNUG Fasteners (SNG214) , are not only "nice" to look at (they look really cute) (not that it really matters), but they work perfectly. Excellent. They are easy to steer with no need for pilot drilling, they have reliably steered every one of them to date. (several hundred). None of them had their heads removed. None has erected the plywood, but holds even slightly warped plywood panels firmly together with the underlying structure. I love these screws. They saved a day on my project in so many ways and saved me an incredible amount of time and frustration compared to previous screws. I love love love her. 5 stars in every respect. [NB: They are non-magnetic and I did a 3 week salt water test after sanding them down and found not a single spot of rust. after 3 weeks test. While my "checks" (2 standard razor blades) showed rust within 24 hours]
