Bought to replace an original bulb in an old MagLite. Finally working, it wasn't close as bright as the original-style tried and true lightbulb. Also, most of the time when the flashlight is on, the "lightbulb" barely lights up (or not at all). to put it in the right place to light it.never had a problem with another lamp.now it's too unreliable.it was necessary to invest money paid for this disappointment with a newer flashlight.unfortunately mine is old, powerful MagLite condemned to graze :o(
