Softness is a must in aquarium design. They are definitely soft enough that any Bata owner would be happy with their purchase. I also couldn't detect any plastic smell as mentioned in some reviews of other unrelated products. Personally I was looking for a more realistic color in faux paint compared to the most common lime green. Lime green is the first sign of FAKE! I am very pleased with the deeper green transition to lighter tips mimicking new growth. more realistic! I will be looking at many more products sold or made by Mylife. I wish I had tried them sooner. For this money, compared to others, let's say ... higher class, those who are better can learn from this brand. They surpass my life not only in "color", but also in "softness". Bravo!
