Review on Bilstein 24 186674 Front Shock Ford by Montrell Copeland

Revainrating 4 out of 5

The shock absorbers work and ride much better, but installation is tedious

The shock absorbers work and ride much better, but installation is cumbersome. They do not compress and are difficult to compress by hand. For the 2012 F250, I bolted on the bottom of the shock, then took the racquet strap and hooked it to the top ring of the bolt. Pound it in until it nears the hole, then untie the band and tilt it into the hole. That's exactly what I did. It took forever on the first page to try to pull it back, then ripped out the tape and put it on after 5 minutes. Good product but wish it was compressed.

Pros
  • Solid surface
Cons
  • Operating speed
