This jacket offers good value for money at a relatively reasonable price. However, it is larger, bulkier and plumper than it appears in the photos. The zip that can be pulled up or down is a useful feature as it conforms snugly to the body and you may need to unzip the bottom when seated. I liked that the pockets were lined with fleece for extra warmth. I'm 5'8" and the jacket hits mid-thigh. Being Californian and wearing sandals year-round, I bought this jacket for a Christmas trip to New York - temperatures never dropped below 50, so I can't comment on how effective it is in colder temperatures but it has kept me warm enough No doubt more expensive brands like North Face are more reliable for much colder climates but for the money it's pretty good.
