Review on πŸš— Podofo 7" Touch Screen Double Din Car Stereo with Bluetooth, Handsfree Calling, Mirror Link, USB, SD, FM Radio, Backup Camera, Wireless Remote Control, and Steering Wheel Control by Paul Ruberto

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Works, good price, Wish for Android/iPhone features were clearly presented.

After installation I found that Mirror Link is not supported for iPhones. The title/initial description should indicate that these are Android phones or that the iPhone is restricted. I have already installed stereos, the initial installation guide is not good at all. Everything works for me except for the reversing camera. I contacted the seller, he quickly sent installation instructions. It really should be in the box. I connected the camera to the reverse light on the back of a 2000 Xterra. Red is positive reverse light, black is ground. The RCA video cable has an extra red wire, which I also used to connect to the positive of the reverse light. The other end connects to the pink or "Back In" wire on the back of the device. I used an aftermarket wiring harness on this machine, so the wires clearly came off the machine. I had to add an extra RCA cable since the video cable that came with it was about 4 feet short. The old car radio stopped working and any signs of life were an improvement. The sound isn't the best, but I have a feeling that the car speakers that are still in stock probably need to be replaced as well. The car has no amplifier. Bluetooth calls work, but there is a noticeable difference in sound. When you are listening to the radio and there is an incoming call, the phone call volume is much lower, prompting you to turn up the volume, and once the call is made, it will automatically return to the radio, but by then the volume is very loud. I wish there was an option to customize this. The same applies to a connection via Bluetooth. Bluetooth volume is also much lower even when the phone's volume is turned all the way up. The device is ok for its price. Lack of installation instructions in the box and general usage isn't the biggest issue. 3 out of 5 stars is a fair rating.
