Harlan has done it again!

NYPD detective Kat Donovan has not seen her ex-fiancé Jeff for several years and is very surprised to see him on an online dating site. But there is something strange about all of this, and when Brandon, a young man, contacts her to get her to help him find his missing mother, she slowly begins to unravel the mystery surrounding the dating site. At the same time, she learns that her father's killer is dying in prison. She decides to contact him to get the truth one last time about what really happened when he killed her father 20 years ago. When it comes to thrillers, Harlan Coben is one of my favorite authors. Nobody can write books with twists like him. "Missing You" is no exception. The book is excellent from start to finish, with a plot that is difficult to fully understand. I read the book in almost a day because I just couldn't put it down. Coben is also a great writer, his chapters often ending on cliffhangers. Many times when I read this book I thought I would read one more chapter, and then another, etc. Kat never recovered from her father's death and shortly after that Jeff left her and now she feels she has found her Jeff that she didn't really get over him either. But is he involved in Brandon's mother's disappearance? Has she really disappeared? And what really happened 20 years ago when Kat's father was killed? There are many interesting side effects in the book and I have to admit that I couldn't figure out what was going on until it was revealed. Well the ending wasn't a total surprise, although I didn't know all of this happened I wasn't that surprised, but it was a good ending nonetheless. I was very fond of Kat, as was her friend Stacey (who got Kat an account on a dating site), and wouldn't mind reading more books starring them. In closing I just want to say that the book is really good and that I love a little connection to Win Horn Lockwood from the Myron Bolitar series.
