Much lower quality than OEM filters
All previous air filters for this car (and there were many at 130k) had a rubber gasket around the edge and a frame over the pleated filter. This one was made much cheaper - no padding at all, just gathered paper edges, no frame. Installation was more difficult and the air intake around the filter more difficult to reseal after installation. In the future I will pay a few bucks more and get the OEM type. This was an example of "Sinification" - China found ways to cut production costs by pennies, resulting in marginal quality.
