For example, put a sheet on the front seat and tie it with rubber bands behind the seat.

These seat covers are very similar to using a flat sheet as a fitted sheet on top of a mattress - they are simply placed across the front of the seat, then there are elastic threads that you pull at the back of the seat. and tie them together - this will keep the sheet in place on the seat. They'll likely keep the seat covered, but they're also very flimsy and cheap-feeling, allowing dirt and splashes to just seep through the covers. bought them for a new car, i drove the car for about two weeks when i found out the car was old and i had to return it. I couldn't untie the elastic strands so I had to cut them off! So I couldn't use them anymore so I don't know how long they would have lasted or how well they would have protected the seats. I would say once you put them on you can't take them off without cutting them off so they can't be washed and put back on! When I tied rubber bands, I just tied them with a bow tie. But the elastic was so tight (in just two weeks) that I couldn't rip the bow tie. It may be easier to disassemble with a different node type. Also, I put them on leather seats, they don't stay in place on leather seats. I had to put them back on every time I got out of the car.
