It's not 4K but great for the price. It works best in a dark room. Any light from a window or anything else will degrade the quality. The 3D glasses often flicker even when fully charged and are displayed in a dark room. As for the remote control, you literally have to be behind the projector for it to work. It's not the most expensive projector I've owned, but for the price it's great. Since I'm saving for a more expensive 4K projector, I'm happy with it for the time being. It works, so I'm happy for now. I understand it costs more if you want the best quality. With that in mind, this is a great projector for the price.
