I spent a lot of time researching before deciding on Hitlights. The most attractive feature was that you could cut the roll every 2 inches. One manufacturer cut lines every 13 inches, which would be a disaster. I also found a heavy duty double sided tape - a waterproof acrylic tape that is removable without leaving any residue. It was the perfect tape to mark where I wanted the light thread. When I was done, I removed the adhesive from the Hitlights roll and taped it to double sided acrylic tape. This string of lights went nowhere. Tape on tape. It doesn't get any better. In addition, this acrylic tape is quite discreet. The cuts I had to make in the string of lights were simple and matched well with the connectors I bought. Make sure you buy 10mm/2 PIN connectors if you have single color lights. I also bought a male and female cable to get everything I need. There were sockets above the cabinets, which made life easier. Bought 2 12v power supplies, one for each side of the case. It didn't take more than 2 hours. I had to drill a few holes in the top and bottom of several cabinets to get the extension cord where it was supposed to be. Make sure you drill holes large enough for the ends of the cable to pass through. Trust me, with Hitlights it's very easy.
