Melted edges along the top of the webbing will remain rough and sharp. I cut myself the first time I tried them. That's just laziness on SPUD's part. These are good straps and will last forever if I don't leave them in the sun. No matter how much they cost, they had to spend time finishing the edges, I finished them myself with sandpaper and a file. Now they are useful and do not cause cuts. Very poor quality control. Raw edges and cuts are the reason for the 3 stars.
