Once upon a time, in another historical moment, I learned how to use a tying tool. It's amazing how some skills are never forgotten. Whether you use metal or nylon strapping, removing the ties that hold the strapping material on the roll is a one-time mistake. Since I don't speak most foreign languages and in this case the instructions with pictures weren't as detailed as I would like, I watched the video on U-Tube to refresh my memory before working with this tool. And I'm glad it works as advertised.
