Bought this towel to replace an old blanket that we usually use as a beach blanket. First of all, I wouldn't call this a luxury beach towel. It is quite thin but suitable for styling. Second, it's big enough for a few people, but don't expect it to expand. It's not the size of a large blanket once you're used to it. Third, it picks up sand, which means it weighs a little more at the outlet than it does at the inlet unless you shake it well. And if it's completely wet, it won't be easy to pull out loose sand. On the other hand, it folds up nicely and compactly. But given the price and other options, I wouldn't buy it again. I would call that a good baby beach blanket.
