This review relates to the *NEW* version. Don't buy if you have young children or a clumsy husband - it will fall apart without much effort. I originally bought the larger version with pins and it's amazing. Completely childish and "manly" proof. I liked it so much that I bought a smaller version for our bedroom. I like the new design aesthetic and really liked the new locking mechanism. However, the new version snaps together instead of being firmly clipped together. why does it suck Well, first you have to bend down and really try to open and close this thing, and your excited pup will either pee in anticipation or run away while you fiddle around. Previously, you could open while standing, quickly pull the pin and open or close it. Second, the pins hold each piece securely together, meaning you have more versatility with the grip. What I mean? If you want to use the stylus as a barrier rather than in the perfect square position, the new design breaks easily. You bend it too far back to make a zigzag or your 2-year-old squeezes it and it breaks. This is dangerous and simply not possible with pins. Do yourself a favor and be sure to buy the original version with pins, you won't regret it!
