I have used the 'quad driver' version of this Makita accessory for many years. I like the concept. My only criticism of the Makita version is that the locking and unlocking mechanisms wear out over time. And this ponytail is sleek. This means that hitting the tool tip too frequently will bend the shank. A bent shank means the tool wobbles and I've never been able to get it back into the exact position. DeWalt solves this problem with a stronger shaft. And the lock/unlock mechanism is slightly better. But it is missing one very important thing that Makita includes. This is a built-in hex key at the end of the shaft. That is, if I want to change notes. I need to find the right Allen key. It's VERY annoying. Maybe I'll come up with a workaround over time, but it's not necessary. Makita showed the perfect way to solve the problem. I have no idea what made DeWalt skip this feature.
