DEWALT DW2701 Complete Drill Drive Set Review

I thought it would be nice to have as I do a lot of simple woodworking. It should have been good. It could be good, but no. The drilling shaft "vibrates" strongly. I used the supplied Allen wrench to tighten the set screw but that wasn't a problem. The real problem was where the part was with the drill bit on one end and the #2 Phillips slot on the other. There's plenty of play where you put it in the collar. It doesn't stay in place very well so there is some wobbling. Not good.

I really wanted this little contraption to please but after 45 minutes of trying to drill countersunk pilot holes and the bit got stuck in wood I ended up throwing them it in the trash. I have used the 'quad driver' version of this Makita accessory for many years. I like the concept. My only criticism of the Makita version is that the locking and unlocking mechanisms wear out over time. And this ponytail is sleek.
