This one works like a charm

After reading many reviews and seriously discussing which KVM switch to buy, I finally settled on this one to choose between a docked work laptop and a personal desktop computer (2 HDMI model -KVM connections). After spending a few minutes plugging in all the cables and running around to get the display adapter (completely my fault) it worked. No additional drivers. Literally plug and play. I have to say I'm not disappointed at all. I ended up having to convert both HDMI ports to DVI, which didn't affect the performance of this switch. I can also say that the USB hub on this device is fantastic. I connected a USB extension cable to the back of the device so that USB headphones can be connected. The earbuds switch just like the rest of the device, no problem. I was hoping this part would work but wasn't really expecting it as there are all sorts of issues that can come up with USB headphones and regular USB hubs. There are mechanical switches under the front lights to physically toggle the device, and keyboard shortcuts are available if you don't want to reach out. I've had no trouble toggling using either method, and the keys give a nice crisp click, so I think they'll last for a while (especially since I prefer keyboard shortcuts). A power supply unit is also included in the scope of delivery to give the device more power for power-hungry USB keyboards and the like. I don't have a backlit keyboard so I can't comment on this feature, but the unit can run on USB power from the PC when needed as I don't see any impact on my setup when I unplug the power adapter. All in all a very comfortable gaming console and I am very happy with my purchase. Highly recommend for everyone.
