I wish I knew the other reviewers were right: this unit does smell like burnt rubber when you first turn it on. The purpose of this review is to help potential buyers choose a product that does what they need for their situation. The photo gives a visual perspective of his actual size while sitting on a letter-size binder. The second photo shows that 3 measuring cups of water boiled in 5 minutes. . The separately available pot holds 6 measuring cups of water. The pot is made of stainless steel and has a heavy base, which makes the pot stable on a small electric stove. This mini electric cooker does exactly what it says on the tin. The photo gives you an idea of its size compared to a letter size binder. It's tiny, but it's not a toy. • Does this mini electric stove get hot enough to boil water? Yes! • Which pot size is shown above? Pot pictured from IKEA. The pot holds 6 cups of water. The heavy bottom worked well, but the thinner bottom can heat up faster. • 3 measuring cups of water are brought to the boil at the highest temperature in approx. 5 minutes. A thick bottom on the pot or pot will keep the heat in and even allow me to turn it over. Yes. Use utensils with 6 cups or less. • Is this cookware universal? The oven used 500w of power when first turned on up to heat level 5 (the highest) and then dropped below 500w. Bring food to the boil with the Rockpals 500w portable lithium battery, cover with a lid to retain the heat to save, then lower the temperature control to a lower setting to continue cooking. Attention! This article is not a toy. The oven heats up instantly, as does the metal attached to the oven. Common sense is not that common. I touched the burner as I plugged it in and felt the top plate immediately get uncomfortably hot. I was glad the mini stove worked with my Rockpals lithium battery. Rockpals got a kitchen fan, which surprised me. Does this electric stove work with a generator? If you have a generator, be sure to check the wattage as the device has an initial electrical output of 500 watts. Is this burner universal? Yes. I recommend this burner as an alternative source for cooking and simmering food, crafting, cup warmers, and other similar uses. Is this burner useful in an emergency? I recommend this stove for emergencies. When you find yourself in an emergency, like I was when the Texas power grid went out in the winter of 2021, you want this smell to burn out BEFORE you need to use it. Imagine you are in a hotel room and this smell permeates into other people's rooms! Before storing or using it, remove the odor first. • Is this device profitable? It depends on how urgently you need the item. If the product lasts 10 years then it's good value for me. Additional considerations: • I am planning to make a silicone protective sleeve for a metal collar. The plastic bottom was warm, but the metal collar was very hot. • At the lowest level, it warms the cup pleasantly. • I plan to take this mini tile with me on trips and car rides. I can use it as a cup warmer for herbal tea but others may like it for coffee • I would recommend keeping it out of the reach of children as with all hot items. I started cooking whole meals at the age of 10 and have been teaching my kids since they were younger. They were never burned because I taught them safety first. My concern is that some people see the burner's size and underestimate how hot it gets at full power. Children might think this is a toy. This is not a toy • Do the power controls work? Yes, they do. The Rockpals lithium battery showed the power change at each power level. • Other Uses: Sometimes you want to warm something up at dinner. • Health: I would like to have this mini-stove to maintain the water temperature for soaking small tissues for a surgical wound where I alternately washed warm and cold clothes to help the surgical wound heal. In such a situation, this little heating pad would be invaluable. • Are your sinuses congested? After 5 minutes you will receive a special vaporizer. • Don't have a microwave oven?
