I have a first gen Xbox One where I ended up replacing the original system drive with an SSD and also successfully replacing the failed optical drive ie I am no newbie. However, I've been trying to find an external USB hard drive enclosure that works fully/consistently with my Xbox for years. so far so. For others, the Xbox recognized the drive and I formatted it for games and apps. It seemed normal, and then when I came back, the hard drive wasn't visible. Sometimes disconnecting and reconnecting worked, sometimes it didn't, and what a pain it is. During that time, I've tried multiple enclosures and drive types (SSD and SSHD) with the same results. I decided to try this uGreen case, installed a Secure Erase SSD I already had and connected it to my Xbox One. I went through the formatting process and after that I didn't see it in the memory control. I rebooted the system, then returned to the vault and there it was and stayed. I did a 100GB transfer from an internal drive and it took just over 10 minutes, so it's pretty quick. I'm happy :)
