I bought a new MacBook Pro and needed a way to connect different services to the USB-C port. This was the perfect solution. I like pass-through power as I can charge it without losing a port. Works as described for all USB ports and card slots. Remember that devices other than the laptop are only powered by the connected laptop, not the input. However, this is not a significant disadvantage. Looks well made. But since I've only had it for a few weeks, I honestly can't comment on how durable it is.
