I bought a new MacBook Pro and needed a way to connect different services to the USB-C port. This was the perfect solution. I like pass-through power as I can charge it without losing a port. Works as described for all USB ports and card slots. Remember that devices other than the laptop are only powered by the connected laptop, not the input. Update: After a few months of use it keeps losing connection and corrupting multiple USB drives and my external backup drive. Dangerous product. I have a MacBook with no USB port so this was a much needed accessory. I love that it has 2 USB ports and have never used an SD card slot in the past but found it very handy. My only complaint is that the cable is a little stiff, making it difficult to place and connect all devices to it. However, this is a great buy.

I've used docks like this before. However, due to the fact that Apple provides a minimal number of ports, it is almost mandatory to use docking stations on a Macbook as a replacement for a desktop computer. smaller profile than my previous dock, which I still use at home (also pictured). If you need to take your Macbook to meetings with projectors and USB mice and/or projector clickers, you won't be disappointed!
