We have moved into a nursing home and for some reason there was a gap under the front door. I saw that the neighbor has a draft excluder and I thought that was a good idea. It is very easy to install and easy to clean. There are a few flexible plastic tubular pieces that fit inside (like what a peanut bag is made of). They line up and fill the pipe pockets on either side of the door. Then the seam area in the middle slides under the door. I had to cut a few inches of plastic tubing to shorten the pull blocker a bit and fold the empty end of the fabric under the door so the folded fabric was on the hinge side of the door. The rolled up fabric is not visible at all. Our small dog had an accident on the door and we didn't notice until the door opened and the draft excluder slipped over a puddle. No problem. I took out the plastic pieces, hand washed the fabric, hung it in the shower to dry, put the plastic pieces back in, and shoved it under the door. Very easy! The open end of the bags, where the plastic parts are placed, has a velcro strap to close it and prevent the plastic tubing from slipping out. As good as it is for blocking drafts, it doesn't block sound, but the complex is very quiet so noise wasn't an issue for us.
