I used this as a work bag as my last one fell apart. I don't carry a laptop with me, just lunch, a book/some kind of fire, a bag of essentials and drinks. It all fits with headroom. The dimensions given are correct and it lasts longer than I thought it would. My lunch box is particularly bulky. It's usually some sort of bento box that fits right here next to my book. Those are usually the hardest things I have. I like the side pockets for a water bottle and a thermos for tea. It's difficult to slide them there though - the sides are pretty rigid. The top of the side pockets and the main pocket are additionally lined with material I suspect for durability, but this makes it difficult to pack larger items into the side pockets due to the stiff material overlay. The side zippers are fake which I don't think was advertised but I was disappointed. Internal pockets are fairly basic, although the non-zip pockets are lined with faux leather at the top to reduce wear and tear. The lining is a durable cotton fabric and seems to stand up to rough handling. Faux leather is actually surprisingly durable. There really isn't that weird plastic feel. I almost thought it was leather for a minute! Easy to wash and soft feeling. There are 4 bumpers on the bottom to raise the bag off the ground, although I still plan on wiping them down regularly. All stitching is strong and durable, I haven't noticed any strange lines or protruding threads. I'm not the biggest fan of tassels. It's thinner and lighter than the rest of the material in the bag, so it tends to ride all over the handle and get in the way. Overall, this is a sturdy, durable bag that looks good and should last.
