Review on ๐Ÿ’ง The Basement Watchdog BWE 2,000 GPH Emergency Battery Backup Sump Pump System: Reliable Protection at 0 ft. and 10 ft. by Jeremiah Small

Revainrating 3 out of 5

The bad part immediately damaged the good one. I called the company and they confirmed.

This is the second watchdog I use. At first it worked more or less normally for 10-12 years, then it stopped. One thing I want to share with the community, which I think is crazy about system design, is that you can't replace one of their components if it has failed. As soon as I tried replacing the pump itself or the electronic control unit itself, the defective part immediately damaged the good one. I called the company and they confirmed it to me. You have to buy and replace the whole thing, but they keep selling you components because they know it's a waste of money. Really crazy for the customer, but not bad for the company's revenue. It looks like it's a technical feature. It's like having to buy a new car when your car's brakes are broken. Pretty neat.
