Review on Rugged Ridge 13550 29 Armis Passenger by Eduardo Locke

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Fragile and unreliable. Does not protect expensive tools.

I really wanted to like this tool box and I was very happy to finally buy it for my Jeep Gladiator. Unfortunately it was a big disappointment. The tool box is not directly above the tire well and is about 8 inches from it. Another downside is that it hides a slot in the 2x4 plywood bed that the Jeep offers. What's really bad is the quality of the toolbox itself. I've never seen a lockable toolbox that opens so easily on the hinges with virtually no effort. I originally planned to keep my trail tools in a box, but after the lid fell off a few times in the backcountry I decided to use it for various ratchet straps and the occasional nut and bolt. If you are looking for one more place to store your essentials, this is your product. But if like me you have some top notch tow straps, shackles, jerking blocks or mechanical tools then stay away from this case as it is definitely not for you. Save money and consider alternative storage solutions.
