We hike quite a bit and we like to wear these natural, breathable socks that are snug and comfortable and flow around the curves of our legs and miles. Step by step - these socks are fun! These are lightweight socks with an inner lining so they're a basic layer and feel just like wool but don't last long as they comfortably conform to the shape of your foot. They work well as a lining layer without adding extra warmth to your foot and survived a 5 mile hike and then a 4 mile hike. They washed well and also had to work to go to the office as they were within reach before I'd had my coffee, although I suspect this kind of flexibility might be possible in other contexts with this brand of NH. The markings are thin so they can pass as dress socks in a pinch.
