Great hiking, hiking and climbing socks

Size Chart: These socks fall within the range shown in the chart. Therefore, you don't need to change your typical size. Wool: Socks with a high proportion of wool absorb moisture very well, which goes a long way to preventing blisters. Durability: excellent. These socks should last quite a while. Activity: I wear these socks when I put on hiking and mountaineering boots. All in all: great wool crew socks. Highly recommended 5 stars.

Expensive but comfortable

I've only worn Merino wool socks for a few years now. They are comfortable all year round (warm in winter, breathable in summer). This is no exception. As you would expect from the description (lightweight boots) they are thinner than regular socks. They are comparable to standard socks. My shoe size for men is 8.5M. I ordered these socks in a size L and they are comfortable, although a size M would probably fit as well (they are very stretchy). For now (Summer in Atlanta) they are comfortable…

Pros
  • Very good value for money
Cons
  • Not as thick as the other options

Great wool socks! - Socks

I love wool socks for hiking/climbing and outdoor activities. They're comfortable, don't smell, and absorb moisture. These Minus33 socks are a nice mix of 61% merino wool, 20% stretch nylon etc. The ones I have are only calf length (boot length, not full length). They are thin in all places, although not super thin. There is no cushion on it except a little in the toe area. I agree - I usually don't like soft socks. This liner weight/thickness sock is a good weight for me on the trail in…

Liner/Insole Excellent Quality

I received this insole through the Revain Vine Voice program. The size fits my husband's foot size 10.5 to 11. The high-quality wool is perfect for all year round and is also easy to care for. I toss them cold and gently in a mesh laundry bag, then let them air dry. The insole is an absolute treat for hiking and hunting. The last thing you want is tired, sore and chafed feet, so these liners can really make a difference in heavy boots. It might be a wise idea to just take these earbuds with you

Lightweight and sporty for camping

A Minus33 fan was delighted with this pair in black. These socks are made in the USA and are impressively well made. The seams and finishes are very precise. The moisture resistance is on par with other high merino wool socks I have, which is their main benefit. These socks are thinner than other Minus33 socks and are more athletic. They just have a little padding around the toes and that's it. If you're looking for something warmer and more durable, I recommend some of Minus33's thicker…

Great for keeping warm and less friction than liner and office AC

We hike quite a bit and we like to wear these natural, breathable socks that are snug and comfortable and flow around the curves of our legs and miles. Step by step - these socks are fun! These are lightweight socks with an inner lining so they're a basic layer and feel just like wool but don't last long as they comfortably conform to the shape of your foot. They work well as a lining layer without adding extra warmth to your foot and survived a 5 mile hike and then a 4 mile hike. They washed…

Top cuff is tight, otherwise great socks

I have a medium size Minus33 Micro Weight Boot Liner Socks. I wear size 7 men's shoes, which is right in the middle of the size range. Medium - Men's 6-8.5, Women's 7-9.5. The sock fits well but the top cuff is tight. I don't have very muscular or large calves. But when I put the socks on for the first time, the first thing I noticed was how tight the upper cuff was. The socks don't stay up on my feet and slide down a bit. I wear socks with my Redwings (1412 style, 8 inches high) and they don't

Good fit, best for narrow feet with low volume

I'm a wool fan and wear boiled slippers all year round because wool keeps you warm in the winter and cool in the summer because it absorbs sweat. These socks are quite light, ideal for summer. The fit is excellent - there are no seams at the toe, the heel fits well. There is slight compression built into the seams of the forefoot and there is no padding except for a small amount in the toe box. I'm a size Small and they fit me snugly but not uncomfortable. I'm a women's size 7-1/2 and have a…
