Review on Minus33 Merino Wool Clothing Hampshire Sports & Fitness by Darrell Shreves

I'm a wool fan and wear boiled slippers all year round because wool keeps you warm in the winter and cool in the summer because it absorbs sweat. These socks are quite light, ideal for summer. The fit is excellent - there are no seams at the toe, the heel fits well. There is slight compression built into the seams of the forefoot and there is no padding except for a small amount in the toe box. I'm a size Small and they fit me snugly but not uncomfortable. I'm a women's size 7-1/2 and have a narrow foot with very little volume. I don't know if people with wide feet and high arches can stretch properly. The socks don't itch, but I wouldn't call them super soft. They are not as soft as Smartwool socks and I don't know if they wash as well as Smartwool without shrinking. My guess is that they are made in the USA - no chemical smells and the quality control looks good. They are inexpensive compared to Smartwool. If I find that they shrink with washing or start itching I'll update this review but so far so good!
