This hard drive (HD710A 2TB) worked perfectly for 16 months. Then, in early fall of 2020, the laptop lost connectivity after the drive warmed up. I tried the hard drive on other PCs and it had the same behavior. I contacted Adata for an RMA, sent a copy of the invoice/proof of purchase and provided the model and serial numbers. I was told the warranty was expired due to the date of manufacture. I sent an email informing me that New York State law and Adata's own website states that the warranty is effective from the date of purchase and not the date of manufacture. Then I got an RMA # and the 3 year guarantee still had to be observed. I can't help but wonder how many people Adata wins when their legitimate warranty claims are covered with this behind-the-scenes tactic. I'm sure it was done that way (an attempt to base warranty coverage on manufacturer data) to reduce warranty costs.
