We have 6 of these. I like them because it minimizes (some) clean up around the house. The straw however can be a bit wonky at first. It’s imperative the plastic straw is pushed all the way into the silicone straw piece in order to function properly. Otherwise you’ll be sucking with all your might to no avail. It’s also good to take a pointed utensil and poke the thin membrane that sits inside the silicone straw. We used a fork but I would think a chopstick or even a coffee stirrer would work nicely. Without opening the valve a tiny bit it was frustratingly difficult for our 18 month old daughter to sip. She’s been using a straw for over 8 months now. It’s not her first rodeo. Once we did our little "adjustments” we have been quite happy with the cups.
