If you take care of your own RV, boat, appliance and 12V car battery, you need this tester
Four year old fully charged deep cycle van battery. The tester said to replace; The state of health (SOH) is only 50% even though the state of charge (SOC) is 98%. I forgot that this battery requires NO maintenance. Electrolyte levels were below the top of the plates. Topped up with distilled water and used the smart charger recovery mode. After the first cycle I used this tool again and the battery performed well at 89% SOH. Next time the battery performed well with 91% SOH. The third time is good at 95% SOH. I am now on my fourth recovery cycle. I wouldn't have figured it out without this tool. A trip to the auto parts store for a check would cost me over $100 for a new battery. I'm glad I can restore my old battery instead.

The charging test is to check and analyze the charging system, including alternator, rectifier, rectifier diode, etc. The alternator output voltage is normal, rectifier the diode works normally and the charging current is normal. Suppose any of the above parts are in abnormal condition, it will cause the battery to be overcharged or not fully charged, causing the battery to be damaged quickly and also greatly shortening the life of other charged electronic devices.
