I bought an HDD to install in a Synology DS218 NAS. I chose from the list recommended on the website of the manufacturer Synology. I settled on a WD Gold 6TB WD6003FRYZ. After installation, I noticed that some kind of deaf tapping was heard. With a different time interval, when exiting sleep mode, they are heard more often. It is the disk that makes the sound, not the storage, I checked it by installing another disk. Let's see how long it lasts, any sound from hdd, except for a uniform hum, does not mean anything good ( Once I refused to buy discs of this brand, but this time I still decided. Apparently in vain. Let's see what tech support says. Couldn't attach video to review. Attached separately, in the video section.
