This is a solid product. Good strong plastic, durable. However, the size does not match the information on the packaging. The information on the packaging says it fits most pails from 3 1/2 gallons to 5 gallons, which would probably be true if it were the size it was intended to be. The packaging says it's 10 1/8" in diameter, when in fact it's 10 7/16" (almost 10 1/2), which is over a quarter of an inch larger than the advertised size, which is very disappointing , because it is not now . fits most buckets. It will most likely fit in their own bucket and some others. I have several 5 gallon buckets that have been broken down under various circumstances. Some were purchased, some were free for spending so much at the store, and some were left over after the included product ran out. However, out of about a dozen buckets tried, only two allowed the sand guard to slide all the way down. Most got stuck either half way or three quarters up. The average person may have a bucket or two, or just a standard bucket. Remember if it was the advertised size it would fit. PS I bought two and they are both too big for the same amount. You must decide if you are willing to take the risk.
