Get the right resistor
there are two versions of this resistor for the 2005gmc yukon. make sure you got the right one. don't try to guess which wire goes where. Harnesses are different. Once you have the right resistance, work with one wire at a time. Make good connections, use solder joints and marine grade heat shrink tubing, do not use electrical tape. this is just lazy and unprofessional. The total repair time is about half an hour.
