Update: a year later and I still love this set. Whisks and can openers had to be thrown away. The whisk broke. We haven't used it much so I blame it on the quality. It doesn't really matter to us because I didn't buy it for the whisk. The can opener doesn't hold up very well either, so I got rid of it. It's still a great set and all the spoons are holding up well. I like this set so far. We've ditched all of our taflon/nonstick pans and switched to an all stainless steel one (big investment but SO COST). So I was looking for better dinnerware than our plastic Calphalons that we got as a wedding gift. After lots of research and comparing to other kits we settled on this one and I'm so glad we did. At first I thought we didn't need all the extra tools since we already had a wine corkscrew, garlic press, whisk and the like that we used and loved. However, now I LOVE the whisk, wine opener, and peeler that comes with this set. I almost bought the all clad set but stopped there because they are both made in China and I didn't see the difference in the set and thought it would be stupid to pay more for a brand. Buy this set!
