So I saw your ad online and decided to try on a pair. If they worked they would pay for themselves in a few months and I would consider getting more, maybe even as a gift. If not I would return them to Revane and get my money back. Right? Well I tried it (one at each end of my house) and saw absolutely ZERO changes over the next few months. In fact, my energy use has gone up (although it may have been the woman with all her garden lights, but they can't be fully blamed because some of them are solar). What I *REALLY* noticed is that since they're big and bulky enough to hold an entire standard outlet, they can get in the way of people plugging anything into them, so this CAN help in that regard. Maybe it's a change that some reviewers had? Because I blocked two outlets for these monsters. Despite their bulky size, they are EXTREMELY light! For example, pick up something you think is heavier and smack yourself in the face with the light thing. The plastic feels cheap and there seems to be almost nothing inside. One of them sounds like something is dangling and rattling inside (maybe that's why it doesn't work, but it probably won't matter anyway). My wife found them the other day and asked me. "Now what the hell are you spending money on?!" I tried to explain to her and she looked like she was going to hit me. [Tip: Wise, long-married men are familiar with this look and know that it's best to back off slowly. and be ready to run if she pursues you.] So. ever since Revain asked for a review I remembered feeling cheated about these things and I looked at more reviews of these things (Revain got a lot of them from different manufacturers. All with Chinese names). Since I bought mine, it seems like a lot of people have had a similar result. I see that in at least one popular review a real electrician examined these things inside and out and found that the only thing inside was a chip that contained a small LED and that was it. He called a scammer and asked why they were allowed to be sold. I usually never fall for scammers and can almost always see through them. However, I think I might have fallen in love with one of them here, which is hard to admit, but I'm ready for it. You caught me trying to save a few bucks. *SMH* And return them for money because they're scammers? Spring. after using them for the required amount of time to see if they affect your electricity bill. . . . . . . . The return window has opened. Hmm. comfortable, isn't it? Now you're stuck with lousy bulky night lights. Maybe my wife will agree if I tell her it's you? .No, not as gullible as I bought these things. sigh. :/
