Update 2021 Lights still work but flicker horribly. They also don't always respond to Google when it tries to turn them off. We plan to replace it with another brand and are still evaluating options. We like GE's "C", but there are still problems. First assessment 2019 Overall, the installation went well. Adding to the system is good. The app is good and I like that you can schedule the lights to turn on. However, I don't really like the space that all these apps can take up on my phone, so I save them on a specific device just by adding them (and sometimes to set up an automatic schedule) and then I control everything from Google from /Alexa (we have both). Since the Globe lights are a bit more accessible than the Hue, I honestly expect some goofiness. It comes in the form of a single lightbulb that flashes at us from time to time. The husband tried to tighten the light bulb, but it does not help. It could also be a problem with the energy coming out of our house; I'm not that tech savvy to know for sure. Both bulbs of this type that we have are in the kitchen in a two-bulb lamp. We have another globe (white only, dimmable) on the stairs and have had no such problems. We have yet to try tinted or cheaper general purpose smartlights.
