As an avid fish pond enthusiast, I couldn't pass up the opportunity to order this Microbe-Lift fish keeper/water conditioner. About 25 years ago I built a 600 gallon pond that I still enjoy to this day. Koi, shubunkin, large goldfish, snails, frogs and various aquatic plants live in the pond. Having owned this pond for over two decades I have dealt with literally every problem and/or crisis a pond owner can face. If you also have a fish pond, you probably know that trying to keep everything alive and thriving can be frustrating work or love. I think the worst experience I have ever had with my pond was having some off the shelf chemicals added to treat a condition that was threatening the fish. These chemicals were advertised and "guaranteed" that they would not harm the fish. Needless to say, the day after I added the chemicals, half my fish died. So I am EXTREMELY doubtful about what goes into my pond. I live in the Northern United States and as you can imagine all of my fish are currently wintering under the ice. Therefore, as I also mention in the attached video, I can only put this product in my pond when the water temperature is above 50 degrees, which will probably be the case in April. I will update this review after putting this product in my pond in the spring. In the meantime, as promised in the video, I've spent hours researching both this product and the company that makes it. I and I am sure you must be absolutely sure that this Microbe Lift product will not harm my fish and plants before risking their lives. Here is a summary of my research on the company and the company behind the company. Based on all the independent user reviews I could find, Microbe-Lift products are considered the safest and most beneficial on the market today. Microbe-Lift products are manufactured by Florida-based Ecological Laboratories, Inc. This company is known worldwide for the quality of its naturally grown products. All of their products contain various mixtures of aerobic bacteria, photosynthetic bacteria (activated by light), anaerobic bacteria, and chemosynthetic organisms. Organic Laboratories, Inc. is the only company that has been able to grow these products at home and, for the most part, in the actual containers in which they are sold. Environmental labs can achieve this success because organisms only grow synergistically, representing a virtual ecosystem in a bottle. These cultures coexist and thrive so they naturally work together when placed in your pond. That is why the products have an incredible shelf life of up to 5 years. Since all of their products are made from cultures of naturally occurring microorganisms, they are completely safe for all pond fish and plants, cannot be overdosed and can be used together if necessary. Most importantly, these products are not only some of the best of their kind on the market, but also offer incredible value compared to competing products from other companies. This, coupled with the fact that their products have such a long shelf life, puts Microbe-Lift products light years ahead of other products on the market. Based on everything I've found I'm pretty sure this product will only help my fish as they transition from winter to spring. As an added bonus, the Microbe-Lift includes a nice measuring cap, as you can see in the photos accompanying this review. Finally, remember that I'll be updating this review in a few months, so stay tuned!
