Very strong sulfur smell

Seems to help keep the tank clean but buy the smell. Even if you only smell sulfur in the closet under the tank. The color of the liquid is black, which is also unpleasant, but evaporates to keep the water from discolouring.

Works the same as Seachem Stability

I love this brand and all the products they make. The directions say to use 5ml per 10 gallons which is Seachem Stability. My fish, shrimp and snails have not deteriorated during a water change after using this product.

Pros
  • Quality Construction
Cons
  • Neutral

Just as good as API Stress Coat

I grew up with the API brand but this one seems to have more. The liquid is thick like aloe and clear. I edited the aquarium before adding new fish and it seems to have worked fine. The fish did not shed or die. I plan to try their other products in the future.

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes

The fish are happy and alive

I have a ten gallon aquarium with three tiger fish. I'm always hesitant to try new things because fish can be so fragile, but I'm glad I tried the Microbe-Lift Aquatic Stress Coat and Fish Protector. It works just as well as other water conditioners I've used and is really good value for money. I've been using this for a few weeks now and my fish are still alive and seem happy so that's a win!

Good Things - Aquarium Water Treatment

My only wish for this product is that it would be nice to have a list of ingredients so I know what's really in the bottle. This is a pretty good price for the amount you get. It's easy to measure and easy to throw in the tank. I add a teaspoon to my 10 gallon aquarium every time I change the water, which is about every three weeks. It seems to be working very well. My fish seem pretty happy so I would call it a win.

Pros
  • Looks great
Cons
  • Long lasting

I have had a saltwater aquarium for over ten years and only two years with freshwater. One of the most important aspects of aquarium maintenance is the correct chemical balance of the water. You can make your own salt water or buy it at your local fish store. You can also treat your tap water for fresh water tanks. You should only change about 20% of the water each time. The process is simple - pour this amount into a clean container and then top up with CATCHED/TREATED water. You can add water

Pros
  • Acceptable
Cons
  • Not automatic

More concentrated than other brands I've used before

I have a small 1 gallon tank and the most I ever change is half a tank. That means I have to measure enough to handle 1/2 gallon of water each week. The aqueon I bought typically adds 5ml per gallon of liquid. This brand uses 5 ml per 10 gallons of water. This means it's 10 times more concentrated than what I've been using. Using it straight means I need to dilute it down to 0.5ml per half gallon. It's hard to measure, so instead I made a 1:10 dilution (1 part treatment: 9 parts water) and putโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • Crumpled

Based on my research, GREAT company and RELIABLE product!

As an avid fish pond enthusiast, I couldn't pass up the opportunity to order this Microbe-Lift fish keeper/water conditioner. About 25 years ago I built a 600 gallon pond that I still enjoy to this day. Koi, shubunkin, large goldfish, snails, frogs and various aquatic plants live in the pond. Having owned this pond for over two decades I have dealt with literally every problem and/or crisis a pond owner can face. If you also have a fish pond, you probably know that trying to keep everythingโ€ฆ
