The phone is fine; Adhesive leaked

Holds my phone securely - iPhone 8 Plus with case and screen protector so not lightweight. But the glue ran out of the back release button and every time I pressed the button (every time I use it) to release the phone from the mount I was left with very sticky glue on my fingers. It also started leaking through the holder. I park in a covered garage and in the shade most of the day. It is not convenient to put on/take off the holder every car trip. I switched to another one - I hope the glue doesn't leak as the reviews don't mention this issue.
