While other brands of single-shot coffee machines have nothing to improve on their technology, Nespresso has a qualitative leap forward did . -Machine is much quieter- One touch for (quick) heating and brewing - Fully customizable cup size from 2 to 14 oz (basic idea lost at Caffitaly or Starbucks) (By the way I wouldn't pay more for ALTO 14 capsules per ounce - more intense standard sizes, seems to stretch to over 12 ounces and still gives you a great cup.) - Water tank that you can pick up in one hand, lift and fill easily - One-touch mechanism for inserting a pod - Used pod box can come with lifted with one finger and emptied - ALL THE WATER STAYS IN YOUR CUP - not in the pod box, nowhere else. - coffee is pretty good too - $1.1 per cup - worth it for the convenience imho No tea pods yet - hopefully soon
