I've been looking for a long time for a crate that will fit a medium sized dog (Australian Cattle Dog @ 40lb) without folding the car seats. The trapezoidal shape of this box maximizes the available space in the cargo area and allows the tailgate to be closed. Worth the price if you are particularly concerned about securing your dog in the car and need a back seat. My only complaint is that it comes disassembled and is not easy to assemble. There are no words in the instructions, only drawings that are oversimplified. It's incredibly designed and well planned, but a little tricky. If you don't like collecting IKEA furniture, you will hate it.
