I was thinking how many stars to give this product. In the end he gets the highest praise from me because he completely exceeded my expectations. This is a cheap fan. For twenty bucks I was expecting it to be powered by a hamster, but it actually has an electric motor and plugs into an outlet and all. I was expecting a Kluge, but assembly was easy, the pieces fit together surprisingly well. Yes, it's cheap, but it's strong enough to get the job done without being dangerous. Dare I say plastic isn't always bad, and there's a good chance this thing is brilliantly designed if the goal was primarily to keep costs down. The fact that the assembled fan is so light is actually a bonus - it's very easy to move around when needed. I think he's pretty stable on his feet. Can he be overthrown by badly behaved children? I believe. But naughty kids don't deserve fans. I only use the lowest setting 95% of the time. hence it is quiet. Do I want it a little higher? Yes. Would I like the steering angle adjustment to work more smoothly? Yes. Do I want the item to come with a lifetime guarantee? Yes. But here's the thing: I really can't really blame this fan.
