Review on ๐Ÿšต Zefal 'Cristophe' Half Toe Clip for Mountain Bicycles by Matt Venable

Great product, mixed reviews.

Change from a mountain bike with full clips and straps to this more upright hybrid. My new bike has a higher stand, so I wanted something that would allow me to get on and off faster at intersections - and ice cream trucks! These strapless clip earrings are perfect for that. They keep my feet from slipping forward very well and even offer some side-to-side stability. Don't expect too much "buoyancy" when pedaling, that's not what these clamps are for. Traditional clip-on straps do just that. They're great for aligning the crank for a good first push when starting off etc. The weight of these pedals is enough to flip the pedal over when parking, but flipping the pedals over to free the clips Hitting the sides is very easy, especially if you've ridden with clips before. Now for the sizes and comments in other reviews. It seems that S/M ("M" on the clip itself) is a bit harder to find online. Most sellers sell M/L ("L" on the clip). I wear size 9.5 or 10 men's shoes. According to many reviewers, I should take size M/L (L), so I bought them first. NOT CORRECT. To keep my feet in the correct pedaling position when the pedal shaft was under the ball of my foot, the larger clamp was too long. When I fully inserted the clamp, the ball of my foot was nearly 1 inch in front of the pedal axle. Bad landing. I ordered S/M (M), now they fit perfectly. Photos are included to compare your pedals to mine.
